Sports, Michael Cox

The period of my life that would have been involved with Sports primarily was spent in Minnesota, so I don't really have much to say with respect to Sports in Georgia however I think there are enough people who have experience here to present a good number of opinions.

In the area that I lived Football was the big thing. Almost all of my friends were on their high schools football teams or had been at one point. The only reason I wasn't was because I was home schooled and didn't have transportation to get in every day for practices. I did have friends that were home schooled that played on HS teams as well. I think this is a pretty good indicator of how important it was to the surrounding communities. The played football no matter what the weather. I remember sitting through snow storms watching my friends playing. Nothing stopped those games.
